Cross Country/Track & Field Recruiting Timeline

September-November of Junior Year
While earlier inquiries are welcome, we start actively recruiting athletes during the Fall semester of their Junior year.

If you have not heard from a coach and would like to be recruited for the team at Bryn Mawr, please complete the online prospective student form.

December of Junior Year
We will start scheduling zoom calls with recruits in Dec.

Due to high volume at the start of the recruiting process, we may not be available for calls to all potential recruits this month.

If you’d prefer for your first recruiting call to occur before the New Year, please let us know and we will do our best to schedule you in.

January-February
Recruiting calls will continue with responsive prospects.

We ask that you submit unofficial transcripts through 1st semester of junior year (should include 5 semesters worth of work).

Most transcripts will be available in January, but if your school is late, early Feb. will not affect your recruiting status. Please, just communicate the delay.

March-April
Athletes following the timeline outlined above will be invited for official visits during the months of March and April.

Specific weekends will be designated for athletes to visit the campus to meet the team and their potential future teammates.

Recruited athletes interested in visiting at any other dates should contact the coach to coordinate.

NOTE: Due to State, local, and College restrictions we are not currently offering in person recruiting visits. Bryn Mawr College is currently closed all but the current community. We will, however look to host online Q&A sessions through the month of April.

May-June
A second review of the high school transcript will be completed for all athletes wishing to continue the recruiting process into the summer. Please submit an updated transcript at the end of junior year.

July
We are willing to accept verbal commits at any time during the recruiting process, but will begin asking for commits during the summer months.

We expect to complete our supported class by September 1st each year

(though extenuating circumstances may affect a particular student’s timeline, both earlier and later than September 1st)

September-October of Senior Year
We hope to keep in touch with recruits and continue to build on the last years’ work as application finish their

We intend on hosting a committed student overnight for those who were unable to attend our Spring official visits in late Sept. – early Oct.

NOTE: Due to State, local, and College restrictions, Fall visits are currently ‘to be announced’. Committed athletes will receive information over the summer as we hope to find ourselves in a position to welcome visits back to campus at some point during the recruiting process.

November 15th
Early Decision I Applications must be submitted by Nov. 15th to receive full consideration.

Please confirm with a coach when you have submitted.

A Note on Testing:
Standardized test scores may be considered as part of the application process, but are not required (we are test optional for students who have U.S. citizenship; please review specific requirements for international students). We encourage prospective student athletes to take standardized testing if they are able. The choice to include these test scores in your official application will still be that of the student, but early planning will provide the opportunity.
