Tonja Nixon returns for her 2nd season as a collegiate coach, serving as the Sprints coach here at Bryn Mawr.
After devoting eight seasons to the Owls as a Track & Field athlete, Nixon returned last season to help continue to develop the Sprints program, seeing the team through another successful year of competition. In her undergraduate career here at Bryn Mawr, she sprinted for the Owls while earning her Bachelor of Arts in English and in Spanish. Since graduating, she has also earned her graduate degree, becoming a Master of Higher Education. She looks forward to earning her USATF certifications as she continues her coaching career. When she’s not working with the team, she is serving as the THRIVE Coordinator in the Dean’s Office.
In addition to competing, Nixon enjoys training with the athletes. She is looking forward to continuing her training and competing with the Greater Philly team later this year.
