Bryn Mawr Basketball Recruiting Timeline

Goals: To figure out if Bryn Mawr College and our basketball program is the best fit for you and you are the best fit for us, academically, financially, socially, etc.

Recruiting class needs may vary depending on which positions need to be filled for that year.

August-June of Junior Year
Fill out our Recruiting Questionnaire, https://gobrynmawr.com/sports/wbkb/prospective

First Conversation with Head Coach: discuss academics; transcript, test scores, major interest. We will also discuss your basketball experience and college interests. We will request Film and your AAU/High School schedule.

Communication will continue throughout your junior year. We ask that you take initiative as well and update us with your games and checking in.

You can schedule an Unofficial visit at any time.

Spring-Fall, End of Junior Year-Start of Senior Year
Visits: If circumstances allow, you can start planning your unofficial/official visit during the Spring after Jan 1st. where you will attend an admissions session, tour, meet the team, a meal in the dining halls, and meet with the Head Coach. If it is your official visit, you will be hosted by one of the players and can attend a class.

Camps/Clinics: Attend one of our camps or prospects clinics. Offered in the Summer.

Player Evaluation: We will try to watch and attend your games as much as we can. Please keep us informed with your schedule and tournaments you will be playing.

Academic Pre-Read: We will request your full transcript (FR/SO/JR year), Senior Courses and test scores at the end of your Junior year (summer). This is an unofficial tool that helps us know if you are a strong academic fit. If pre-reads indicate that you would be a strong academic candidate, we will move forward with your official visit if you have not had one yet and your application plan.

Fall of Senior Year
Visits: Official visits and Prospect day. An opportunity to meet other future teammates and current team at our prospect day. The prospect day includes a clinic, overnight hosted by a player, tour, class, and meeting with the Head Coach.

After you Official Visit, we will discuss the best application plan for you. We highly encourage applying Early Decision, but we recognize that might not be the best plan for everyone and are open to Regular Decision.
