LANCASTER, Pa. –Bryn Mawr's cross country team has been picked to finish seventh this season in the 2017 Centennial Conference Women's Preseason Poll, released on Friday August 25th.
The Owls took seventh place at last season's Centennial Conference Championship and have many returning student athletes who helped contribute to the team success such as Chelsea Thangavelu and Campbell Powell. Additionally, Kate Edwards will be returning and will certainly be a runner to keep a watch on. Last year Edwards led the team to a seventh-place finish in the championship race by taking 32nd individually with a time of 23:19, her second fastest time of the season.
The defending champions, John Hopkins were picked to repeat in the coaches poll, garnering 9 first place votes. Followed by Dickinson's, Haverford, Swarthmore, Muhlenberg, Gettysburg, Bryn Mawr, Franklin & Marshall, Ursinus and McDaniel.
