ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr College cross country jv team competed Saturday morning at the 40th annual running of the Paul Short Invite hosted by Lehigh University.
Leading the way for the Owls was sophomore Marissa Mirecki as the Owls competed against runners from all three divisions. Her time of 30:51 was the fastest for Bryn Mawr in the "Open Race."
Sophomore Betsy Helm completed the course in 31:03 followed by freshman Ann Lin with a time of 32:39 and sophomore Margaret Patchin with a 32:58. All three times are new personal bests for the three runners at the 6K distance.
The invitational was cut short due to the heat which meant that the varsity women's race did not take place.
The Owls return to action when they compete on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the annual Seven Sisters Championships. This year the race is being held at Smith College.
