Greene Lands School Record At Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - It was exciting day two for the Owls of Bryn Mawr track and field at the 124th Penn Relays. The Owls Junior, Rachel Greene was the first jumper from Bryn Mawr Track and field ever lucky enough to be competition at Penn Relays and by the end of the meet had proved exactly why she should be there. Rachel Greene toppled her own school record in the triple jump with a dominating performance earlier Friday at Franklin Field.

Having already set the school record in the triple jump earlier this season at the Gettysburg Invitational, Greene kept the positive momentum rolling today with another awesome mark in the event. The New Jersey native blasted past her previous best, and put together a best jump of 11.07 meters in the event. Her previous school record in the event had been 10.95 meters.

The Owls will be back in action on Saturday with a portion of the team traveling to Elizabethtown for one final tune-up before Centennial Conference Championships the following weekend.
