NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Bryn Mawr College track and field team was one of 148 NCAA Division III teams to earn the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Team Academic Award for the 2013 season.
Bryn Mawr was one of seven schools from the Centennial Conference and one of four Seven Sisters institutions to earn this award. Collectively, the team boasted a 3.34 team GPA while Pomona-Pitzer Colleges boasted the national's top GPA with a 3.686.
To be eligible for the USTFCCA Team Academic Award, an institutions track and field team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.10 or higher.
In addition, recent graduate Kristina Kronauer earned the distinct honor of being named All-Academic for the 2013 season. Kronauer earned this award for competing in the NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships and achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.30. You can also qualify for this award if you finished the regular season ranked in the national top 35 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 25 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org. She was one of 363 women from 123 schools from across the country to earn this award
