INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senior Kristina Kronauer will make history later this week as she becomes the first Bryn Mawr runner to run at the cross country and outdoor track & field national championships in the same year.
The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced the participants in the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships Sunday afternoon and Kronauer is in the 10K seeded 20th overall. She will be joined by fellow Centennial Conference runners Hannah Oneda (10th overall, Johns Hopkins) and Frances Loeb (19th overall, Johns Hopkins).
Kronauer will take to the Wisconsin-La Crosse track on Thursday, May 23 at 6:20 pm central time (7:30 EST). The Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will run from Thursday, May 23-Saturday May 25 and will be hosted by University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
For each men's individual event contested, including the decathlon, the top 20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
