NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their academic honors on Thursday, and the Owls hauled in both an individual and a team recognition with the release.
After another phenomenal indoor campaign that saw Terry earn a spot in the NCAA Championships with the 22nd fastest 60m hurdles time in the country, the junior earned her second career USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honor. To be eligible to be named an All-Academic Athlete, individuals need a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA and must have finished the season in the top 50 in the country in their event or have competed on one of the top 35 relay teams. Terry was one of 19 Centennial Conference student-athletes to earn the honor from the USTFCCCA.
The Owls also earned All-Academic Team honors from the organization, making them one of 210 programs honored for their academic excellence. Teams must have earned at least a 3.1 cumulative GPA through the most recent semester to be eligible for this award.
