LANCASTER, Pa. - The Bryn Mawr track & field team kicked off the 2020 Centennial Conference indoor championships earlier Saturday, and there were plenty of excellent performances from the Owls on day one of the event.
Jennica Terry tied her own school record in the 60 meter dash preliminaries to start the day. The junior ran a 7.98 second time in the event, the second-fastest performance of the day and easily fast enough to qualify for finals in the event.
Terry also qualified for finals in the 60 meter hurdles. She ran the fastest time of the prelims in the event, posting a 9.35 second performance to beat out the next closest competitor by over two tenths of a second.
The Owls also got impressive performances in the two relay events on the day. In particular, Bryn Mawr's 4x200 meter squad posted the fastest time of the season in the event, running a 2:08.31 to take ninth place overall. Bryn Mawr also ran a 14:19.07 in the distance medley relay to take tenth in that event.
Terry will compete in the finals of her two events tomorrow, along with plenty of other events in action. Sunday will be a busy day for the Owls, as Terry, Kass Wojcik, Anna Kyle, Alexis Boutchie, Lydia Fisher, and Margaret Hardigg will all see action in individual events, along with more student-athletes in action in the 4x4 and 4x800 relays.
