BOSTON, Mass. - The Bryn Mawr track & field team was back in action earlier Friday, as the Owls took part in the Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. There were plenty of personal records on the day, including two by junior mid-distance specialist Anna Kyle.
Kyle got the day started with a new PR in the 800 meter run. She completed the event in a time of 2:28.57, good enough to beat out numerous Division I runners along the way. Her second personal best came in the 500 meter dash, as she ran a 1:27.60. She was joined in that event by first-year Kass Wojcik, who also set a new personal best with a time 1:26.32.
In the 60 meter dash, Katie Billings posted a new season best, running an 8.94 in that event.
Several Owls took a crack at setting new school records on the day as well. In the pole vault, senior Julie Gonzales made three attempts at 3.05 meters, but was unable to clear the bar on any try. Rachel Eaglin made the same effort over in high jump, but her attempts to clear 1.50 meters also came up just a bit short.
Plenty of other Bryn Mawr student-athletes were in action on the day - you can find all the results from Friday here: https://www.lancertiming.com/results/winter19/terrier/index.htm.
Bryn Mawr will make another trip north next weekend, as the Owls will compete in the NYU D-III Armory Invitational in New York City next Friday.
*The Owls were supported by the Eaglin family as well as alum Kate Edwards ('18). Many thanks to those who made it to the meet and all who supported us from afar. - Coach Hewitt*
