Keep took home third place with a time of 5:07.32. She fell behind early as the entire heat went out hard but her steady pace kept her in the pack at the half way mark. As the ¾ mark, Keep pushed her way up toward the front but was unable to catch the top two finishers.
Hastings also fell back early but as the race went on she continued to pick off a few runners. AS the race was coming to an end, Hastings was on the heels of Samantha Farina but was unable to catch the Rowan runner who finished ahead of her by half a second. Hastings finished with a time of 5:33.01.
Both Keep and Hastings posted personal best times in the event.
The entire team is back to action next weekend when they compete in the 2014 Centennial Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
