HAVERFORD, Pa. – Sophomore Claudia Keep continues to dominate the 1 mile run this indoor season and Saturday afternoon was no difference as the standout runner claimed first place in the race with a time of 5:7.10.
In addition to her mile time, Keep won her heat of the 800m and placed third overall with a time of 2:27.08. Her mile and 800m time are both conference qualifying times.
The afternoon was filled of personal bests for numerous runners. Sophomore Zhen Xu set a personal best time in the 60m with a 10.01 and the 200m with a time of 34.10. In the 800m, freshman Lauren Dana (2:55.28) won her heat and finished 15th overall, while sophomore Adrienne Baugher (3:22.37), senior Sarah Aubrey (3:24.38) and freshman Margaret Patchin (3:33.82) all set personal best times.
In the mile run, freshman Hannah Hastings won her heat and took home 10th overall with a time of 5:53.51/ Junior Sarah Macholdt (6:10.17), freshman Yamina Mohattane (6:40.45) and freshman Yue Yang (6:47.66) all put forth personal best times.
The lone personal best in the field events came from senior Sarajane Rodgers in the shot put. Her heave of 6.02m was 10th overall. Freshman Ola Madamidola was Bryn Mawr's top finisher in the shot with a distance of 6.20m, good for 9th place.
The Owls are done for the remainder of the fall semester. They will kick-off their competitive schedule in the New Year on Saturday, Jan. 23, when they travel to Ursinus for the Ursinus Pentathlon.
