HAVERFORD, Pa. – The 2012-2013 Bryn Mawr College indoor track and field season got underway Saturday as they Owls travel down Route 30 to Haverford for the Jack Pyrah Invitational.
Senior Sarajane Rodgers ran a 56.76 in the 300m while freshman classmates Julie Henrikson and Marissa Mirecki ran a 1:35.24 and 1:37.43, respectively, in the 500m.
Racing in a very competitive 1000m race, freshman Alex Beda and sophomore Rachel Hagar ran solid races by posting times of 3:24.45 and 3:47.48, respectively. Both times are personal best times for these two at the 1000m distance. The milers looked out on the track, while sophomore Elaine Schmidt ran a 5:59 while junior Sarah Macholdt ran a 6:15. The 4x400 brought the baton around the track in a time of 4:51.
The Owls are back to action when they travel back to Haverford on Saturday, Dec. 15, for the annual Holiday Meet.
