Tennis Earns Academic Honors From ITA; Four Named Scholar-Athlete

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has announced their 2020 ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams, and Bryn Mawr raked in a handful of accolades with the news.

Bryn Mawr was named an All-Academic Team by the ITA with this release. In order to be named an All-Academic Team, programs must have a team GPA of 3.20 or higher.

The Owls also featured four student-athletes who earned Scholar-Athlete honors as well, as Evelyn Caserta, Emma Garner, Skylar Korman, and Christina Xue each received personal recognition from the ITA. To be honored with Scholar-Athlete status, one must have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the academic year.

Bryn Mawr was one of 175 women's tennis programs awarded the All-Academic Team distinction in Division III. In 2020, 1,058 Division III Women student-athletes were named ITA Scholar-Athlete.

This is the fourth year in the past five that Bryn Mawr has earned academic honors from the ITA.

Although Bryn Mawr's spring season was cut short, the Owls did have a highly successful fall campaign last year, going 2-1 with wins over Shippensburg and Arcadia.
