Craig Leads Swimming Against Swarthmore
BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Freshman Rebecca Craig posted one individual win and a pair of second places finishes as the Owls fell to Tri-Co rival Swarthmore, 89-105, in Centennial Conference action.
Craig posted one of Bryn Mawr's two first-place finishes as she took the top spot in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:03.09. She edged Swat's Erin Lowe by more than a second. She followed-up her 200 free with a second place finish in the 100 butterfly, touching out behind senior Meredith Davis. Davis won the event by swimming a 1:02.02 with Craig posting a 1:03.95.
Davis added a second place finish in the 50 free with a time of 25.91 while freshman Angela Mastrianni claimed second place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:16.56.
Sophomore Kristina Xiang posted a pair of third-place finishes as she took home bronze in the 200 IM (2:25.86) and 100 backstroke (1:10.25).
Bryn Mawr is back in the water competitively on Saturday, February 2, when they travel to McDaniel for a 1:00 pm meeting with the Green Terror.
