Bryn Mawr Soccer Announces February Clinic Schedule

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Bryn Mawr College soccer team and Head Coach Paul Stinson have announced two February events for prospective students and local club teams.

The inaugural "Main Line Friendlies" at Bryn Mawr College and Villanova University

Set to take place on the campuses of Bryn Mawr and Villanova University on Sunday, February 19th, the Main Line Friendlies is an extension of the hugely successful boys' version, run by the staffs of Haverford College and Eastern University. For the first time girls' teams will have the chance to visit the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia and take advantage of the facilities of two of the great institutions of higher education located in this area while showcasing their skills in front of several dozen college coaches.

The all-day event is open to 12 teams rated "platinum" or higher by gotsoccer, including ECNL, NPL and USYS teams. Each team will play two 70-minute matches, one on each campus, with college referees. Coaches from 30+ different NCAA Division I, II, and III colleges and universities will be in attendance all day. Currently, teams from Continental Football Club, Lehigh Valley United, STA Morris, Penn Fusion, FC Pocono, Harleysville and 1776 are registered!

Bryn Mawr Soccer 1-Day ID Clinic, featuring coaches from Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges

A cost-effective and convenient event for college-bound players, the Bryn Mawr College one-day clinic will give campers a true day-in-the-life experience, organized just as collegiate training sessions are. Coaches from both colleges will be on hand to evaluate as well as instruct. The clinic is slated to take place from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, February 26th. The first session will replicate a standard regular season collegiate training session (including GK-specific training), and then following a break, the campers will play 11-a-side for approximately 80 minutes. The playing portion of the clinic will be filmed and all campers may request a copy of the film for their own personal use. The clinic will conclude with a Q&A regarding Bryn Mawr and Haverford, the soccer programs, and the college search process in general.
