Lacrosse Seniors Honored At Final Home Game

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Seniors Melina Higgins and Kelsey Harris were honored before the start of their final collegiate lacrosse game Saturday afternoon as the Owls hosted #4 Gettysburg College.

It took Gettysburg only 54 seconds to find the back of the net following the opening draw as Lindsey Robinson scored with help from Kelsey Markiewicz. Over the next four minutes, the Bullet tallied five more goals to take a 6-0 lead.

Over the next ten minutes, Gettysburg got four goals from four different people. Following more than five minutes of scoreless action, The Bullets tacked-on three more goal in the final eight minutes of the half to take a 13-0 lead.

In the second, Gettysburg added five more goals, including a pair from Bailey Beardsley, to claim their 16th win of the season.

The Bullets were led by Markiewicz and Loren Pruitt with three goals each. In all, ten different Gettysburg players netted a goal. Lindsey Robinson had a game-high four assists.

For the Owls, sophomore goalie Katie Fong posted two saves on the day while junior Kathleen Magner had four draws and two groundballs. Freshman Megan Kilmer added a pair groundball's and caused turnovers.

The Owls end the season 2-15 overall and 0-9 in conference action. Season Highlights include opening the season with back-to-back wins over PSU Abington (15-3) and Rosemont College (12-7) while Magner became the 11th person in school history to score 100 career goals (vs Haverford – 4/13/13).
