Badminton Puts Up Solid Effort in Final Match of Season

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Owls showed impressive performance at their last game of the season but fell to Haverford on February 24th with the final score of 1-3.

In the doubles, team captain Cindy Chen and sophomore Blossom Jeong put up a strong fight against Cecilia and Figna of Haverford, playing three full sets, but suffered a loss with the final score of 12-21, 21-14, 7-21. Freshman Meagan Kearney and sophomore Jennifer Seo, both newcomers to the badminton team this year, secured the Owls' sole win of the day, with the score of 19-21, 21-19, 21-5 against Haverford's Marissa and Miki.

In the singles, freshmen Meagan Kearney and Ruby Pritchett both fought strong but fell to Haverford's Cecilia and Marissa respectively. The score for Meagan's game was 9-21, 2-21 while Ruby's was 11-21, 4-21.
