GILBERT, Ariz. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association has released their academic awards for the 2019-20 season, and the Bryn Mawr field hockey program has raked in plenty of accolades among the honors.
Fourteen different Owls earned their way onto the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad, including the entire senior class. To be named to the squad, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year. Seniors Mary Cugini, Lydia Fisher, and Grace Morris each earned their way onto the list, with all three of them having earned the recognition in all four seasons of their careers. Kelly Bergman, Rebecca Britt, and Sara Rilatt also each earned the honors for the Owls as juniors, with Britt and Rilatt making it three years in a row on the list. Erin Chung, Emily Cook, Anna Hartzell, Ryann McManus, and Alina Peon made it back-to-back seasons earning the honor, while first-years Paige Davis, Kelcie Eberharth, and Meghan O'Shea were also named to the list thanks to their hard work during their first collegiate semester.
The Owls were also one of 147 programs to receive the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Team Award, which recognizes programs that earned a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of 2019-20.
