Gettysburg struck first as they got on the board with a Hannah Fitzgerald goal in the 8th minute of action. The Bullets tacked-on two more in the opening stanza to take a 3-0 lead heading into the half.
In the second-half, Gettysburg's Liz Barron and Kelly Spieker registered back-to-back goals to give the Bullets a 5-0 lead. In the 51st minute, Bryn Mawr got on the board as Farbo scored on a penalty stroke. The goal is Farbo's second of the season. Her last goal came in the second game of the year, a 9-1 win over Cedar Crest.
Barron scored her second goal of the game in the 69th minute to push the Bullets' lead to 6-1.
As time expired the Owls earned a penalty corner with gave them one last possession of the game. After the corner was initiated, Constants crashed the cage as sophomore Kayla Bixler took a shot. The shot was saved by Ronnie Bridges, but Constants played the ball and found the back of the cage for her team-leading 8th goal of the season.
The Owls took 15 shots with junior Madison Beckmann taking five of them. Bixler and Constants took four each while Farbo and freshman Haley Newsham took the others. Senior goalie Faith Westdorp posted seven saves on the afternoon.
Today marks the first time since 1994 that they Owls have scored multiple goals against the Bullets. In 1994, Gettysburg won that game 3-2.
The Owls are back to action when they travel to Rival Haverford College on Wednesday, Oct. 16, for a 4:30 contest.
