BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr College field hockey team fell to Dickinson 6-1 Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action on Applebee Field.
After falling behind the Red Devils 3-0, junior Holly Constants scored her team-best seventh goal of the season to get the Owls on the board. The play started with a long pass to junior Madison Beckmann who put a pair of touches on the ball at the top of the circle before passing to Constants. Gaining possession, Constants made a deke on goalie Katy Schlechtweg before sending the ball past her.
The first-half ended with Dickinson holding a 3-1 lead.
In the second, the Red Devils tacked-on three more goals from Maddie Groves, Erica Marshall and Glenn Carr as the Dickinson defense held Bryn Mawr at bay.
Bryn Mawr's only shot on the day was Constants' goal. In goal senior Faith Westdorp posted 14 saves. Junior Mikah Farbo tallied three defensive saves while sophomore classmates Kayla Bixler and Ashlee Williams recorded one each.
The Owls are back to action when they travel to Gettysburg on Saturday, Oct. 10. Game time at The Battlefield is 1:00 pm.
