ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Bryn Mawr College field hockey team posted their fifth win of the season, the most in a season since 1998, as the Owls defeated Cedar Crest, 4-3, in overtime Tuesday afternoon.

The Falcons notched the game's first goal as Erin Studer scored on a pass from Wendy Martin at 5:31. It wasn't long until Bryn Mawr got on the board as sophomore Madison Beckmann scored the first of two goals on the afternoon to tie the game at 1-1.

Two minutes later, sophomore Ashley Arbuckle gave the Owls a 2-1 lead when she found the back of the cage at 7:12.

Cedar Crest eventually tied the game at 2-2, with a goal from Jessica Sanberg. The first-half ended with the score deadlocked at two.

The Falcons took the lead when Sanberg scored in at 50:58. With less than eight minutes left in the game, Beckmann took a pass from classmate Mikah Farbo to give the game its third tie of the afternoon. The goal, Beckmann's 13 of the season, marks the fifth time this season that she has posted multi-goal games. As time expired and the score at 3-3, both teams geared-up for overtime.

In the second minute of overtime, senior co-captain Isidora Armentrout took a pass from freshman Kayla Bixler and blasted her shot past Lindsey Harrison for the game-winner.

Junior Faith Westdorp posted nine saves in the win while the Owls outshot Cedar Crest 20-14 and held a 15-5 advantage in penalty corners.

The Owls are back to action on Saturday, Sept. 29, when they play host to Franklin & Marshall at 1@:00 noon on Applebee Field.
